Finding a niche as a professional home staging
Copyright (c) 2009 Alice Chan
Remember when you started college? In first grade classes have been all general education courses such as math and English.
For the second year if a large company, have begun to take general courses mostly as basic accounting and economics. Then they were ready to go, to take specific courses to an important issue its such as marketing.
This is very similar to its growth as a professional staging. When you begin, you work with everyone (Public in general), or in some cases, "person" because of his business depends on it. You do not have the luxury of being because Choosey just need to get business now.
Changes in your business, you can naturally begin to create a niche because you just said organically customers or certain types of projects. If that does not come naturally, he surely understands that different market segment or more affectionately, "Defining place.
This is not just the "who" but "what" the market they serve. For example, as dramatized can work with owners, realtors, builders, developers or investors.
The choice to work with one of these types of people is part of your niche. The "what" or specialty, as the model home merchandising, or just the staging of occupied property owner is also a part of its niche.
I was recently at a meeting in a Mastermind of Realtors said when he started his business, he met a mentor who called himself the king condo, decided to call himself the "Condo Queen and continued to be known as a condominium specialist.
Know a test server locally that specializes in the attic.
I found my niche in the management remodeling projects for resale. I was the "go" to the person, where such projects have provided because it was called by the local real estate agent as an expert in this field. This has also led to the conversion of several condominium projects of renewal that I was hired to consult.
Why would like to find a niche?
You could be considered the expert in this particular place. As an expert, you'll find:
– Experts are able to control more costs high.
Your customers want to know who are the best and are generally willing to pay more to have someone is an expert. After all, cardiac surgeons are paid much more than a general MD
– Experts have more credibility.
More people who want to work with experts rather than generalists. There is a strong demand for specialists and therefore control more respect.
As a registered agent is pay much more for its technical expertise in the field of taxation, especially IRS audits, your local H & R Block tax preparer.
– Niching can help differentiate from their competitors so that you remember.
Recognition in particular through the 'green. The integration of these services early in his staging not only attract the attention of consumers, but potentially can dominate this market because it is an emerging concept.
– Niching helps you clarify your marketing message.
Now you know who your target market and the only thing is their service, you can now let their customers their services and brand-specific campaigns.
So how do you find the way?
You should ask yourself some questions.
– What are the people who already see as an expert?
– What do you want to know and be known?
Check out his previous projects o The profile of its customers.
– Is a group of people who frequently worked with another?
– Is there a particular area that you are better than anyone?
– Where can you be a "first" in your market?
Could it be that you do the staging creates an appearance Vignette without a large amount of inventory that can reduce their overheads.
Maybe you known as a specialist in color or green Stager. " By positioning as the expert in this sexy grooves, new, it is likely that a large amount of media exposure since it is the hot topic of the moment.
As you can see, niching helps to clarify who and what you want to work. In communicating this specialty to their customers, you can ensure that you do not take on projects that are outside their experience and to eliminate those that brings less pleasure.
Over time I found my niche while working in all types of projects and determine which ones I liked and could easily say "no", regardless of money.
Think what is your place and you will find that the journey to success the stage is much more fun!

Desperation is the perfume of the young actor. It’s so satisfying to have gotten rid of it. If you keep smelling it, it can drive you crazy. In this business a lot of people go nuts, go eccentric, even end up dead from it. Not my plan. Uma Thurman
